Two North Carolina attorneys promoted to partner at Shumaker

Two Charlotte area attorneys are being promoted to partner in the Shumaker law firm.

Tom BenGera and Terrance Reynolds are among two of four attorneys with the form to be elevated to partner. Nicolas Linares of Ohio and Thomas McDonnell from Florida were also promoted.

BenGera is an intellectual property lawyer and focuses on trademark, patent and copyright law. He represents and counsels technology clients on IP issues, including pre-suit diligence, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, depositions and at trial. 

BenGera represents clients in federal courts nationwide, including in California, Delaware, Texas and Nevada. He has provided counsel to clients on offense and defense of patent, antitrust and trademark disputes and has represented some of the world’s premier multinational corporations. 

Reynolds focuses his practice primarily on defending medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury litigation on behalf of medical providers and institutions. Reynolds has more than a decade of experience, including on diverse civil litigation defense spanning cases on professional liability, construction defect, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability and motor vehicle negligence. 

Reynolds has successfully secured several defense verdicts and awards for his clients as lead counsel in both jury trials and arbitration.
