The 2023 map helped turn a 7-7 North Carolina delegation into one in which Republicans won 10 of the 14 seats in 2024.

The judges wrote Thursday that waiting until 2025 avoids an ‘exceedingly compressed schedule’ for legislators to draw new districts, for those districts to receive court approval, for parties to hold primaries and for candidates to campaign.
The campaign is touting ‘historic investments and engagement with Black media’ and ‘programs that highlight the administration’s commitment to generating Black wealth.’
