From 2016 to 2019, the Mississippi Department of Human Services misspent more than $77 million in money from the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program.

Gov. Tate Reeves also faces two challengers in the Aug. 8 Republican Primary, neither of whom has held public office.
‘After talking with my family and supporters, and after much prayer and soul searching, I have decided not to run for Governor.’
