After weeks of negotiations, the moderate Senate Democrats agreed to reopen the government without a guaranteed extension of health care subsidies.

Later at another White House event, Trump said he’s happy to talk with Democrats about health care once the shutdown is over.
Paul Ingrassia said ‘MLK Jr. was the 1960s George Floyd and his ‘holiday’ should be ended and tossed into the seventh circle of hell where it belongs.’
While Congress has been paralyzed by the shutdown, Trump has moved rapidly to enact his vision of the federal government.
