Ghazala Hashmi moved furniture and personal effects into the apartment, began receiving personal packages there, and changed the addresses on her driver’s license, car registrations and voter registration to reflect the address.
‘First, we were told there was no problem. Then we were told it was small, contained problem. Now we’re told it is a massive problem.’

The Republican administration’s acknowledgement of the problem comes amid the second week of early voting in this year’s hotly contested legislative elections.
