The North Carolina Board of Elections gave the Constitution Party the green light, but delays decision on We the People, Justice for All parties.
The public comment period for the proposed protest timeline changes is open through July 11.
A majority of respondents, including Democrats, also support a measure that would specifically bar non-citizens from voting, which the state constitution already does.
‘I just feel like we’re chasing a problem that doesn’t exist.’
She wrote that her decision ‘minimizes any potentially destabilizing effect of inconsistent decisions and will promote greater predictability in the weeks ahead of the Primary election.’
