Maggie’s List announces stack of endorsements in North Carolina, Virginia

Conservative political action committee Maggie’s List announced endorsements in four congressional races across North Carolina and Virginia.

In North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District, Maggie’s List is backing Republican Christine Villaverde, saying her “background and professional experience have laid a strong foundation for her to understand your priorities and be well-positioned to create effective solutions and policies for the problems facing North Carolina and America today.”

The organization is supporting Republican Courtney Geels in North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District. In granting the endorsement, Maggie’s List cited her nursing background, her efforts to help others receive nursing degrees  as well as her “career in providing compassionate and quality health care to patients in and out of North Carolina, including emergency and trauma medicine.”

The Virginia endorsements went to Karina Lipsman in Virginia’s 8th Congressional District and Yesli Vega in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District.

Maggie’s List said Lipsman will “prioritize introducing common-sense solutions and work across the aisle for her district over engaging in partisan politics. She will advocate for common-sense policies that fight crime, reduce inflation, ease transportation and improve our educational standards.”

On Vega, the organization praised her work to defeat “gun control resolutions aimed at law-abiding Virginians” and her advocacy for lower property taxes and curbing “eminent domain abuse.”

Maggie’s List, founded in 2010, is an organization that works to elect Republican women to federal office. It endorses candidates who “support the Maggie’s List mission to promote fiscal conservatism, less government, more personal responsibility, and strong national security.”
