Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Dalton, Georgia Thursday as part of the Biden administration’s Investing in America Tour.
Harris is slated to discuss how the administration is “building a clean energy economy that works for all and creating good-paying jobs.”
The White House has not yet announced additional details.
The Investing in America Tour is promoting President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the American Rescue Plan.
The tour includes various visits from Biden, Harris, First Lady Jill Biden, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and members of the Cabinet.
Cabinet members previously met to discuss how their agencies are working together to implement the President’s agenda to expand economic opportunity in every state across the country, create good-paying jobs, and lower costs for American families.
The tour kicked off in late March with Biden stopping in Durham, North Carolina at the semiconductor manufacturer Wolfspeed.
Wolfspeed is benefitting from the CHIPS and Science Act, which provides about $280 billion in new funding to boost domestic research and manufacturing of semiconductors.
It’s likely Harris’ visit will likewise feature a business or group that has benefitted from Biden administration policies, particularly as Biden continues to make the case for re-election next year.
