Glenn Youngkin celebrates $1.1M Land ‘N’ Sea expansion in Norfolk

A leading wholesale distributor of marine and recreational vehicle parts is investing $1.1 million to expand its operations in the City of Norfolk.

Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing Inc. is expanding into a larger facility to support the company’s growth by allowing more room for inventory, Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Tuesday.

The expansion is expected to create about 30 jobs in the local area.

“Virginia is proud to support the expansion of Land ‘N’ Sea Distributing, a company that has long been part of the Norfolk business community,” Youngkin said. “This investment reinforces the strength of our logistics and distribution sectors and highlights the benefits of doing business in the Commonwealth—access to a skilled workforce, strategic East Coast location, and world-class infrastructure.”

The company has worked in the marine, RV, and personal watercraft business for more than 50 years, and is headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Georgia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura said the expansion reflects confidence in Virginia’s business climate, and shows increasing demand in both the marine and recreational vehicle industries.

“This project is about more than just square footage — it’s about scaling operations, creating new jobs and deepening roots in a community that understands the value of logistics and supply chain innovation,” he said. “We’re proud to support this growth alongside our local and regional partners.”

The company plans to introduce approximately 5,000 new products, and in order to do so, will be moving from its current 61,800 square-foot facility into a new building almost double the size.

“This new location allows us to increase our inventory and space, while introducing an enhanced service model that will create additional jobs in the community,” Land ‘N’ Sea President Mike Conners said. “We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from the mayor’s office, as well as state and local officials, in welcoming us to our new home.”

Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander also celebrated the move.

“This $1.1 million investment and the creation of 29 new jobs reflect a strong vote of confidence in Norfolk’s workforce, infrastructure, and long-term economic potential,” he said.
