Belgium-based company investing $36M into Georgia manufacturing

A leading industrial storage and automation solution company is making a $36 million investment in Gordon County, which will create approximately 200 new jobs.

The Belgium-based stow Group is establishing a manufacturing presence in Gordon County as part of its U.S. expansion, Republican Gov. Brian Kemp announced in a press release Thursday.

“Georgia’s reliable infrastructure network and strategic location ensure we remain a gateway to opportunity, and companies like stow Group are a big reason why our robust logistics industry continues to deliver results across the state,” Kemp said. “We look forward to this great job creator’s impact on the community and critical industries throughout Georgia.”

Specializing in developing customized warehouse and storage solutions, the company also provides services in several areas, including logistics, food and beverage, and life sciences.

Stow Group CEO Jos De Vuyst said in a statement the new production facility will strengthen its support network across North America.

“Expanding our production footprint in the United States is a key milestone for stow Group,” De Vuyst said. “The new facility in Gordon County will allow us to serve our customers faster, enhance our local partnerships, and continue our commitment to innovation and sustainability.”

The new operations are expected to begin in 2026 and will utilize an existing 240,000 square-foot building near Adairsville along Highway 41. Employment opportunities include roles in profiling, stamping, welding, powder coating, automation, assembly, logistics, and administrative and management roles.

Michael Morgenroth, Plant Manager at Stow U.S., said he is excited to be working in an automated production plant that offers the latest technology in rack manufacturing, and looks forward to the employment opportunities it creates for local residents.

“Together with the State of Georgia and Gordon County, we are already working on training plans,” Morgenroth said. “We believe this will offer great career development opportunities for anyone in the local workforce who is interested in steel manufacturing.”
